The eagerly awaited ice sequel Winterberries 2 has been released by Yggdrasil, the top publisher pushing iGaming innovation.

The 6x3, 20-payline slot, which has a frozen fruit theme and is action-packed with features like multipliers, respins, and free spins, is the sequel to the first Yggdrasil success, Winterberries.

Any winning combination that lands activates the Respins mode while keeping all winning symbols on the reels. The round continues until no more winning combinations occur, at which point players must land more winning symbols to freeze them in place.

The multiplier above the rightmost reel in the combo is triggered for greater win possibility if successive reels fill up from left to right.

At least 10 free spins are awarded when three or more scatter symbols land on the screen. Every multiplier is doubled throughout this round. Players may receive an additional spin if a Special Scatter lands, and all multipliers may rise by up to +15. The multiplier can increase to possibly infinite levels because there is no upper limit on the number of Special Scatters that can land.

For a higher wager, players can use the Golden Bet option to activate the sixth reel, which doubles the likelihood of reaching the Free Spins mode and offers the largest multipliers.

A variety of buy bonus options let players to advance directly to the Free Spins mode in some jurisdictions.

Stuart McCarthy, Head of Product & Programs at Yggdrasil, said: “We are excited to launch this sequel to our original title launched in 2016, which still has fans around the globe. Winterberries 2 sees the game elevated, combining Respins, Multipliers and Free Spins in a fantastic frozen creation.

“We want to bring new concepts to players, and having every winning spin result in a Respin is a great way to continue to boost player engagement and deliver potentially huge wins for them in this fruity new hit.”
